Tom Luchenbill, pastor

The youngest of four boys, Tom was raised in a small town in Mid-Michigan. Attending worship services and church activities was the norm for his family. While attending a Fellowship of Christian Athletes National Convention at the age of 17, the Holy Spirit opened his heart to know and embrace Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Tom attended Michigan State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. During his senior year at MSU, he married Sandy (Abbott) Luchenbill (1973). After college, Tom held jobs in the educational field (teaching and coaching) and in the life insurance industry. It was while he was in the insurance business that he felt the Lord leading him into full-time ministry. He first served as the Director of Youth Ministry at a PCA church in Michigan. After three years, the Lord opened the doors for him to attend Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He received his Masters of Divinity Degree in 1999. After receiving his degree, the Lord has called Tom to serve in a variety of rolls: Senior Pastor, Church Planter, and Assistant Pastor. The Lord brought Tom and Sandy to Cypress Ridge PCA in June 2012. Tom has a passion for discipling people of all ages.
